Google Search Console MCP serverand Python AI tasks

qbash hosts a Google Search Console MCP server you can use in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot and Muse.

Developers use qbash Tasks to write cloud-hosted Python functions that pair Google Search Console with models such as Claude and GPT.

MCP server

Build a Google Search Console MCP server

Give ChatGPT, Claude and your other AI tools access to Google Search Console through one server. You pick which Google Search Console tools it shares, and you can add other connectors, memory folders and Tasks to the same server.

How to set it up

  1. Connect Google Search Console on the qbash Connectors page.
  2. Create an MCP server and add the Google Search Console tools you want to share.
  3. Paste the server URL into your client. It connects with OAuth or an access token.

Python AI task

Write a Google Search Console task in Python

A qbash Task is a hosted Python function that calls Google Search Console and AI models.

Find search queries worth reviewing

Get seven days of search performance, then ask a saved AI prompt to identify queries with high impressions and low click-through rates.

main.py
today = datetime.now(ZoneInfo("America/Los_Angeles")).date()
end = today - timedelta(days=3)
start = end - timedelta(days=6)

report = qbash.integrations.google_search_console.query_search_analytics(
site_url="sc-domain:example.com",
start_date=start.isoformat(),
end_date=end.isoformat(),
dimensions=["query"],
row_limit=25,
)

if report["rows"]:
analysis = qbash.ai.run_prompt(
slug="search-opportunities",
variables={"queries": json.dumps(report["rows"])},
)
qbash.output(analysis)
else:
qbash.output("No search data for this period.")

What the Google Search Console connector can do

  • List Search Console properties available to the connected Google account
  • Get one Search Console property and the connected account's permission level
  • Query clicks, impressions, CTR, and average position for a Search Console property
  • Inspect Google's indexed version of a URL
  • List submitted sitemaps for a Search Console property or sitemap index
  • Get status, counts, warnings, and errors for one submitted sitemap

qbash Tasks: AI applications in Python

A Task is a Python function that calls Google Search Console, your other connectors and models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. qbash hosts and runs it.

  • Deterministic where it counts Write the logic in Python and call a model only for the steps that need judgement, so the rest runs the same way every time.
  • Version controlled Every save is a revision you can compare and roll back.
  • Logged Each run records its inputs, output, errors and what started it.
  • Shared credentials Connections belong to your organization, so a Task keeps working when its author is away.

Google Search Console MCP questions

Can it submit sitemaps or request indexing?

No. The connection uses Google’s webmasters.readonly scope, so it cannot submit or delete a sitemap. inspect_url reports the version in Google’s index and does not run a live test.

Can it report Discover or Google News traffic?

Yes. Set search_type to discover, googleNews, news, image or video. Without it, the report covers web search.
