Bugsnag MCP serverand Python AI tasks

qbash hosts a Bugsnag MCP server you can use in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot and Muse.

Developers use qbash Tasks to write cloud-hosted Python functions that pair Bugsnag with models such as Claude and GPT.

MCP server

Build a Bugsnag MCP server

Give ChatGPT, Claude and your other AI tools access to Bugsnag through one server. You pick which Bugsnag tools it shares, and you can add other connectors, memory folders and Tasks to the same server.

How to set it up

  1. Connect Bugsnag on the qbash Connectors page.
  2. Create an MCP server and add the Bugsnag tools you want to share.
  3. Paste the server URL into your client. It connects with OAuth or an access token.

Python AI task

Write a Bugsnag task in Python

A qbash Task is a hosted Python function that calls Bugsnag and AI models.

Triage errors affecting the most users

Read one page of errors sorted by affected users, keep the open ones, and ask an inline prompt for a triage brief.

main.py
report = qbash.integrations.bugsnag.list_errors(
project_id="YOUR_PROJECT_ID", sort="users", direction="desc", per_page=25,
)
open_errors = [error for error in report["errors"] if error.get("status") == "open"]
if open_errors:
brief = qbash.ai.run_prompt(
slug="bugsnag-error-triage",
variables={"errors": json.dumps(open_errors)},
)
qbash.output(brief)
else:
qbash.output("No open errors on this page.")
Sample list_errors response

"status": "success",
"errors": [
{
"id": "err1",
"error_class": "TypeError",
"message": "Cannot read properties of undefined",
"users": 12,

}
],

What the Bugsnag connector can do

  • List organizations for the authenticated user
  • List projects for an organization
  • List errors for a project with optional sorting
  • Get a single error by ID
  • List events (occurrences) for an error
  • Get a single event (error occurrence) by ID
  • Get error event count over time buckets
  • Get project stability trend data

qbash Tasks: AI applications in Python

A Task is a Python function that calls Bugsnag, your other connectors and models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. qbash hosts and runs it.

  • Deterministic where it counts Write the logic in Python and call a model only for the steps that need judgement, so the rest runs the same way every time.
  • Version controlled Every save is a revision you can compare and roll back.
  • Logged Each run records its inputs, output, errors and what started it.
  • Shared credentials Connections belong to your organization, so a Task keeps working when its author is away.

Bugsnag MCP questions

Does Bugsnag have an official MCP server?

Yes. SmartBear publishes the SmartBear MCP server, which covers Bugsnag along with Swagger and Zephyr and offers a hosted version with OAuth sign-in. qbash puts Bugsnag on one URL with your other connectors and runs the same reads from Python.

Can it resolve or ignore errors?

No. Every Bugsnag method in qbash reads, so the server cannot change an error’s status, assign it or delete events.
