Gong MCP serverand Python AI tasks

qbash hosts a Gong MCP server you can use in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot and Muse.

Developers use qbash Tasks to write cloud-hosted Python functions that pair Gong with models such as Claude and GPT.

MCP server

Build a Gong MCP server

Give ChatGPT, Claude and your other AI tools access to Gong through one server. You pick which Gong tools it shares, and you can add other connectors, memory folders and Tasks to the same server.

How to set it up

  1. Connect Gong on the qbash Connectors page.
  2. Create an MCP server and add the Gong tools you want to share.
  3. Paste the server URL into your client. It connects with OAuth or an access token.

Python AI task

Write a Gong task in Python

A qbash Task is a hosted Python function that calls Gong and AI models.

Find recurring customer objections

Read up to ten call transcripts from the past week and ask an inline prompt to group customer objections with evidence.

main.py
end = datetime.now(timezone.utc)
transcripts = qbash.integrations.gong.transcript(
dateFrom=(end - timedelta(days=7)).isoformat(),
dateTo=end.isoformat(),
limit=10,
)
if transcripts:
review = qbash.ai.run_prompt(
slug="call-objections",
variables={"transcripts": json.dumps(transcripts)},
)
qbash.output(review)
else:
qbash.output("No call transcripts were returned for this period.")
Sample transcript response
[
{
"callId": "call-123",
"transcript": [
{
"speakerId": "speaker-1",
"sentences": [
{
"start": 0,
"end": 4000,
"text": "We need to understand the migration effort before deciding."
}
]
}
]
}

What the Gong connector can do

  • Fetch call transcripts from Gong
  • Fetch detailed call metadata from Gong for a single call: parties (with name, email and affiliation) and CRM context (Account name, website and so on). Pair with `transcript` to label speakerIds
  • List calls from Gong with optional date range and workspace filtering
  • List users in the Gong account
  • Fetch AI-generated highlights (Next Steps) for one or more Gong calls
  • Fetch scorecard results from Gong for reviewed calls
  • List Gong library folders, optionally filtered by workspace
  • Get the calls and content inside a specific Gong library folder
  • List smart tracker definitions configured in Gong, optionally filtered by workspace

qbash Tasks: AI applications in Python

A Task is a Python function that calls Gong, your other connectors and models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. qbash hosts and runs it.

  • Deterministic where it counts Write the logic in Python and call a model only for the steps that need judgement, so the rest runs the same way every time.
  • Version controlled Every save is a revision you can compare and roll back.
  • Logged Each run records its inputs, output, errors and what started it.
  • Shared credentials Connections belong to your organization, so a Task keeps working when its author is away.

Gong MCP questions

Does Gong have an official MCP server?

Yes. Gong documents its own MCP server in the Gong help center, which lets AI clients ask Gong about accounts and deals. The qbash server calls the Gong API with your access key and returns the raw calls and transcripts, which a Python task can also process on a schedule.

Write it in Python with AI steps, and qbash hosts it with versions and run logs.
