Fireflies.ai MCP serverand Python AI tasks
qbash hosts a Fireflies.ai MCP server you can use in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot and Muse.
Developers use qbash Tasks to write cloud-hosted Python functions that pair Fireflies.ai with models such as Claude and GPT.
MCP server
Build a Fireflies.ai MCP server
Give ChatGPT, Claude and your other AI tools access to Fireflies.ai through one server. You pick which Fireflies.ai tools it shares, and you can add other connectors, memory folders and Tasks to the same server.
How to set it up
- Connect Fireflies.ai on the qbash Connectors page.
- Create an MCP server and add the Fireflies.ai tools you want to share.
- Paste the server URL into your client. It connects with OAuth or an access token.
Python AI task
Write a Fireflies.ai task in Python
A qbash Task is a hosted Python function that calls Fireflies.ai and AI models.
Prepare a meeting summary digest
Read ten meeting records and ask an inline prompt to group their summaries into decisions and follow-ups.
report = qbash.integrations.fireflies.list_transcripts(limit=10, skip=0)
meetings = report.get("transcripts", [])
if meetings:
digest = qbash.ai.run_prompt(
slug="fireflies-digest",
variables={"meetings": json.dumps(meetings)},
)
qbash.output(digest)
else:
qbash.output("No meeting transcripts were returned.")
Sample list_transcripts response

"status": "success",

{
"id": "meeting-123",
"title": "Roadmap review",
"date": 1790672400000,
"summary": {

"action_items": "Sam will prepare the test plan."
},
"transcript_url": "https://app.fireflies.ai/view/meeting-123"
}
],
"count": 1
}
What the Fireflies.ai connector can do
- Get one page of meeting transcripts
- Get full transcript details and AI summary
- Filter one page of transcripts by a word in the title
- Retrieve conversation analytics
- Add Fireflies bot to a live meeting
- Update meeting metadata
- Permanently delete a transcript
- Ask AI questions about transcripts
qbash Tasks: AI applications in Python
A Task is a Python function that calls Fireflies.ai, your other connectors and models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. qbash hosts and runs it.
Run Tasks on a schedule or from your team's tools
- Deterministic where it counts Write the logic in Python and call a model only for the steps that need judgement, so the rest runs the same way every time.
- Version controlled Every save is a revision you can compare and roll back.
- Logged Each run records its inputs, output, errors and what started it.
- Shared credentials Connections belong to your organization, so a Task keeps working when its author is away.
Fireflies.ai MCP questions
Does Fireflies.ai have an official MCP server?
Yes. Fireflies offers its own MCP server, documented at docs.fireflies.ai. qbash hosts a separate one on the Fireflies API, which you can combine with other connectors on a single server and call from Python tasks.
Can an AI client delete my recordings?
Only if you add delete_transcript to the server, and that deletion is permanent. Leave the four write tools out for a server that can only read.
