Stripe MCP serverand Python AI tasks

qbash hosts a Stripe MCP server you can use in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot and Muse.

Developers use qbash Tasks to write cloud-hosted Python functions that pair Stripe with models such as Claude and GPT.

MCP server

Build a Stripe MCP server

Give ChatGPT, Claude and your other AI tools access to Stripe through one server. You pick which Stripe tools it shares, and you can add other connectors, memory folders and Tasks to the same server.

How to set it up

  1. Connect Stripe on the qbash Connectors page.
  2. Create an MCP server and add the Stripe tools you want to share.
  3. Paste the server URL into your client. It connects with OAuth or an access token.

A qbash Task is a hosted Python function that calls Stripe and AI models.

Summarize overdue invoices

Find open invoices past their due date, then ask an inline prompt to list who owes what and since when.

main.py
report = qbash.integrations.stripe.list_invoices(
status="open",
due_date_lte=datetime.now(timezone.utc).date().isoformat(),
limit=100,
)
invoices = report.get("invoices", [])
if invoices:
summary = qbash.ai.run_prompt(
slug="stripe-overdue-invoices",
variables={"invoices": json.dumps(invoices)},
)
qbash.output(summary)
else:
qbash.output("No overdue invoices.")

What the Stripe connector can do

  • Get the Stripe account balance: funds available to pay out and funds still pending, per currency
  • List balance transactions (charges, refunds, fees, payouts, adjustments) with gross amount, fee and net. Use for revenue and fee reporting
  • List customers, newest first, optionally filtered by exact email or creation date
  • Get one Stripe customer by id
  • Search customers with Stripe search syntax, for example email~'example.com' or metadata['plan']:'pro'
  • List charges with status, amounts, failure code and message, and card details. Use for failed-payment monitoring and payment reporting
  • Search charges with Stripe search syntax, for example status:'failed' AND created>1700000000
  • List PaymentIntents with status, amounts and the last payment error
  • List subscriptions with status, billing period, items, cancellation details and a monthly list-price amount. Use for MRR, churn and trial reporting
  • Get one subscription by id with its items and billing period
  • Search subscriptions with Stripe search syntax, for example status:'past_due' or metadata['team']:'acme'
  • List invoices with status, amounts due and paid, due date and payment attempts. Use for invoice follow-up and dunning reports
  • Get one invoice by id, including its line items
  • Search invoices with Stripe search syntax, for example status:'open' AND total>10000
  • List payouts to the bank account with amount, status, arrival date and failure details
  • List refunds with amount, status, reason and the charge they belong to
  • List products in the catalog with name, active flag and default price
  • List prices with amount, currency, billing interval and the product they belong to
  • List disputes (chargebacks) with amount, status, reason and the evidence deadline
  • List account events from the last 30 days, such as invoice.payment_failed, customer.subscription.deleted or charge.dispute.created
  • Create a Stripe customer with email, name, phone, description and metadata
  • Update a Stripe customer's email, name, phone, description or metadata
  • Email an open invoice to its customer again, as a payment reminder. Works for invoices with collection_method send_invoice

qbash Tasks: AI applications in Python

A Task is a Python function that calls Stripe, your other connectors and models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. qbash hosts and runs it.

  • Deterministic where it counts Write the logic in Python and call a model only for the steps that need judgement, so the rest runs the same way every time.
  • Version controlled Every save is a revision you can compare and roll back.
  • Logged Each run records its inputs, output, errors and what started it.
  • Shared credentials Connections belong to your organization, so a Task keeps working when its author is away.

Stripe MCP questions

Does Stripe have an official MCP server?

Yes. Stripe hosts an MCP server at mcp.stripe.com with OAuth sign-in and publishes a local one in its Agent Toolkit. The qbash server runs on a restricted key you scope yourself and shares one URL with your other connectors.

Can the Stripe MCP server move money?

No. It cannot create charges, refunds or payouts. Its three writes create a customer, update a customer and re-send an open invoice.
