Zoom MCP serverand Python AI tasks
qbash hosts a Zoom MCP server you can use in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, Grok Bot and Muse.
Developers use qbash Tasks to write cloud-hosted Python functions that pair Zoom with models such as Claude and GPT.
MCP server
Build a Zoom MCP server
Give ChatGPT, Claude and your other AI tools access to Zoom through one server. You pick which Zoom tools it shares, and you can add other connectors, memory folders and Tasks to the same server.
How to set it up
- Connect Zoom on the qbash Connectors page.
- Create an MCP server and add the Zoom tools you want to share.
- Paste the server URL into your client. It connects with OAuth or an access token.
Python AI task
Write a Zoom task in Python
A qbash Task is a hosted Python function that calls Zoom and AI models.
Recap last week’s customer meetings
Search your past meetings for a topic keyword, then ask an inline prompt to group them by customer and total the time spent.
end = datetime.now(timezone.utc).date()
report = qbash.integrations.zoom.search_meetings(
from_date=(end - timedelta(days=7)).isoformat(),
to_date=end.isoformat(),
topic="Customer",
limit=30,
)
meetings = report.get("meetings", [])
if meetings:
recap = qbash.ai.run_prompt(
slug="zoom-meeting-recap",
variables={"meetings": json.dumps(meetings)},
)
qbash.output(recap)
else:
qbash.output("No matching customer meetings were returned.")
Sample search_meetings response
{
"meetings": [
{
"id": 123456789,
"uuid": "meeting-123",
"topic": "Customer onboarding",
"start_time": "2026-09-29T14:00:00Z",
"duration": 30
}
]
}
What the Zoom connector can do
- Search past Zoom meetings by date range and optional topic keyword
- Get details for a specific past Zoom meeting (topic, duration, host, time)
- List participants of a past Zoom meeting with join/leave times
- Fetch the transcript of a recorded Zoom meeting. Returns speaker-labeled text by default, or raw VTT with format='vtt'
- Fetch the in-meeting chat log from a recorded Zoom meeting
- Get poll questions and participant responses from a past Zoom meeting
- Get Q&A questions and answers from a past Zoom meeting or webinar
- Get the Zoom AI-generated meeting summary (requires AI Companion enabled in Zoom settings)
- List users in the Zoom account. Requires an Admin or Server-to-Server credential
- Search past meetings across all users in the Zoom account via the Dashboard API. Requires Business+ plan and an Admin or S2S credential
- Search past meetings for a specific user in the Zoom account. Requires an Admin or S2S credential
qbash Tasks: AI applications in Python
A Task is a Python function that calls Zoom, your other connectors and models such as Claude, GPT, Gemini and Grok. qbash hosts and runs it.
Run Tasks on a schedule or from your team's tools
- Deterministic where it counts Write the logic in Python and call a model only for the steps that need judgement, so the rest runs the same way every time.
- Version controlled Every save is a revision you can compare and roll back.
- Logged Each run records its inputs, output, errors and what started it.
- Shared credentials Connections belong to your organization, so a Task keeps working when its author is away.
Zoom MCP questions
Does Zoom have an official MCP server?
Yes. Zoom documents a hosted MCP server for Zoom Workplace at developers.zoom.us/docs/mcp. qbash puts meeting reads on one URL with your other connectors and makes them available to Python tasks for scheduled recaps.
Why is a meeting’s transcript missing?
Zoom writes a transcript only for cloud recordings with audio transcription turned on. Local recordings and unrecorded meetings have none.
